Another Luke in Heaven

I logged on this morning just to update all of you on us, and have spent the past hour updating myself on all of your lives. If your link is on my blog I have read your updates this morning! Homeschooling, running mountains, having surgery, awaiting adoptions, grieving children. We are a mixed bunch.

I was reading Angie's site (they lost a daughter earlier this year). Her husband sings with Selah. One of Selah's former members, Nicol Sponberg, Justin and I fell in love with (her music, not her) when we were in Chicago because she went to our church. Our church was huge so I've really only spoken with her once but we love to crank up her song Resurrection. So I see that Angie has a link to Nicol's website and I click on it....and learn that she and Greg lost a son named Luke on May 27th. At 10 weeks old. I am in shock. My heart breaks for them. For me. For Angie. For The Chapmans. The Wilhoits. And everyone who has lost a child.

On Nicol's site you can link to some of her songs. Listen to "Ressurection"--she wrote it a few years ago to a friend who had been through multiple tragedies. and to "DownPour"--our old Pastor (James McDonald, Harvest Bible Chapel) wrote it as part of sermon series.

Holly,
Its been way too long... I miss you, but as always, am so moved by the authenticity of your posts. Thinking back to our freshman year, I see how God has truly TRANSFORMED, grown and carried you. What a blessing you have been to me and so many others over the years. I just got married in May... after living in San Diego for about 3 years...and now I am back in Chicago and was thinking of you. MUCH love to you, Justin and Zach and CONGRATS and BLESSINGS on the little one to come!
Mick
