We are so sorry for your loss. Though we can take comfort in the fact that Luke is now with his Heavenly Father, we still grieve with you. We pray that even in the pain of loss the Comforter will draw you two together, bring his healing to your wounds and give you peace.

I cried to Jesus last night. I cry right now. Luke has touched more people in his little life than most do in there years on this earth. He has been a blessing to us all.
You are so loved. We pray now for comfort and healing for you. May He shine his grace on you during these times.
With much grief and love,

They Hymn, "Because He Lives" came into my heart this morning....

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives,
All fear is gone!
Because I know
He holds the future
And life is worth the living
just because He lives!

And then one day
I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war
with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives,
I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives,
All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

We love you and we are praying for you today and always.
love,
Darlene

Luke has been lifted up on wings like eagles. My tears are for you and your family because I know your hearts are breaking. But for Luke, sweet and precious Luke, I must have joy because he has been welcome home. No more pain or suffering for he is with his Maker. His little life has touched so many. As Eugene mentioned in his article in the pinnacle...Luke and you and your family purchased each day you had with him. They all counted for Christ. May we all live with the courage and strength and faith that you have. I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray for peace and comfort that only our Comfortor could give you. We love you.

HOLLY AND JUSTIN
I COULDN'T SLEEP LAST EVENING AND CHECKED YOUR MESSAGES JUST AFTER YOU POSTED THE LAST ONE. WHEN I LOOKED THIS AM I SAW AND FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO RESPOND.
YOUR DEDICATION TO FOLLOW THE LORD'S LEADING FOR THE PAST SEVEN OR SO MONTHS HAS BEEN WONDERFUL AND A REAL COMMITTMENT....LEADING NOW TO THIS, IN WHICH HE STILL HAS A PURPOSE.
I PRAYED FOR YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY OFTEN THROUGH THE NIGHT AND KNOW THAT GOD IS GIVING YOU A NEW STRENGTH......EVEN THOUGH WE ALL WISH HIS APPOINTED OUTCOME HAD BEEN MORE LIKE WHAT WE ALL WANTED.
THEN THIS MORNING I SAW ALL THE RESPONSES ON YOUR SITE AND BEGAN TO SEE HOW EVEN IN THIS SHORT PERIOD GOD USED LUKE TO AFFECT THE LIVES OF SO MANY, IN SO MANY PLACES AND FROM SO MANY WALKS OF LIFE........EVEN IN THAT DELIVERY ROOM. SOMEHOW I BELIEVE THAT THOSE PHYSICIANS AND NURSES WILL NEVER DELIVER ANOTHER COMPROMISED BABY WITHOUT REMEMBERING LUKE AND HIS SPECIAL FAMILY, AND THEIR TRUST IN GOD.
THE HUMAN PART BRINGS GREAT, GREAT SORROW......THAT WE CAN ONLY TRY TO SHARE. THE DIVINE PART HAS BEEN WONDERFULLY EXPLAINED IN SO MANY OF THE COMMENTS ABOVE BEGINNING WITH YOUR'S LAST EVENING.
I DID NOT WAKE PAULA TO TELL HER BUT YOU KNOW HER HEART AND YOU ALSO KNOW YOU'LL HEAR FROM HER LATER THIS AM.
GOD IS NOT 'JUST' HOLDING LUKE BUT HE'S CONCERNED ABOUT YOU AND YOUR HUMAN LOSS AS PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPA.

AS I WAS SHARING WITH PAULA AND SHE WAS READING THE MANY COMMENTS YOUR FRIENDS HAVE LEFT A FEW MINUTES AGO I REMEMBERED SOMETHING THAT DR. STRAUSS TOLD ME SOME YEARS AGO. HOLLY I HOPE THIS IS ESPECIALLY MEANINGFUL TO YOU SINCE HE WAS ONCE 'YOUR' PASTOR.
WHEN DR. STRAUSS' WIFE ELLIE DIED THERE WAS 'OVER WHELMING GRIEF', AS HE PUT IT EVEN THROUGH HIS GIANT FAITH. HE SAID THE LORD BROUGHT THE WORDS OF A VERY OLD HYMN TO HIS MIND.......

"I DO NOT KNOW, WHAT OFT'S ROUND ME;
MY HOPES ALL SHATTERED SEEM TO BE;
GOD'S PERFECT PLAN....I CANNOT SEE;
BUT SOMEDAY I'LL UNDERSTAND.
SOMEDAY, HE'LL MAKE IT PLAIN TO ME;
SOMEDAY, WHEN I HIS FACE SHALL SEE;
SOMEDAY FROM HERE I SHALL BE FREE;
AND SOMEDAY I SHALL UNDERSTAND."

ALL OF US ASK WHY BUT SOMEDAY WE'LL ALL UNDERSTAND.
